Philanthropy
Philanthropy makes donations of quilts, wheelchair bags and placemats to local charities and organizations. We also donate holiday Christmas stockings in December. These items are made from fabric kits provided by Philanthropy, or they are donated by members who make them from their own fabric stash.
The donations go to:
- Life Choices Pregnancy Center
- Meals on Wheels
- Naval Hospital
- Quilts of Valor
- Rady' Children's Hospital
- Soroptimist
- St. Clair's Home
- Veteran's Hospital
Fabric kits are available to check out at each meeting. The completed items can be returned at the next meeting.
Once a year we have a Quilt-a-thon where we sew quilt tops. The date for this membership-year Quilt-a-thon will be advertised soon.
Philanthropy accepts donations of fabric as well as completed items.
